![]() “Pode um desejo imenso” recounts the life of our main character Nuno through his days as a Professor where he falls in love with one of his students as well as his days as a university student himself dealing with a complicated and fluctuating relationship with one of his colleagues. I usually am quite skeptical of reading books by authors of whom I've only read translation work and even though I had high expectations for this book I have got to admit that even after some days of processing what happened I still find myself quite uncertain concerning my final thoughts regarding this work. (he wrote my favorite Portuguese translation of the Iliad, I am passionate about this matter okay?) This book is written by none other than Frederico Lourenço, if you are Portuguese and have no idea of who this man is then shame on you. ![]() I promised myself that I would start writing more book reviews for my own sake and with that said I shall attempt to do this book justice. ![]()

However, he ended the teleplay on an optimistic note. He also worried that a lack of a sense of civic duty among many native-born Americans posed a similar threat. Rose was particularly concerned about the impact of prejudice and bigotry on the legal process, regarding them as preventing democratic and legal institutions from fulfilling the ideals upon which they were founded. Godzilla's skin also returned from the MireGoji green to the old charcoal black, Godzilla's traditional color. The dorsal plates were reduced a bit and lost their purplish hue, deciding to keep the classic bone-white color, but still remained jagged like the MireGoji's dorsal plates. Hattie’s study was designed as a “meta-meta-study” that collects, compares, and analyzes the findings of nearly 50,000 previous studies in education and brings the data together in a way that is seemingly comprehensible. In the book, he compares the statistical measure of “effect size” to the impact of a variety of influences on students’ achievement such as class size, holidays, feedback, and learning strategies. The research of John Hattie created great interest in 2009 when he published Visible Learning. ![]() |
